Biomonitoring

The use of biological monitoring methods to complement more traditional physical and chemical monitoring techniques is an important element of WWW’s research and outreach programs.
Current projects AMZnet, Project CONDOR and the International Watershed Academy include both traditional and emerging biological monitoring methods. WWW’s expert pool includes several individuals with extensive experience in biological monitoring methods.

World Water Watch develops methods for integrating physical, chemical and biological monitoring data and information into guidance and rules (Technology and Tools: Knowledge-based Systems). These rules are then incorporated into improved watershed design and operation methods.
